ALEXIS GEVORGIAN
Alexis Gevorgian established AMG Land Development in 2001. Prior to its founding, Mr. Gevorgian held positions as the Director of Land Acquisitions at Kaufman & Broad Multi-Housing and a Senior Underwriter at J.P. Morgan’s Real Estate Division. With 34 years of experience in land development, Mr. Gevorgian’s knowledge is diverse in architecture, urban planning, banking and finance. He holds a degree in architecture, a Bachelors in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, and a Master’s Degree from New York University. Additionally, Mr. Gevorgian studied architecture and planning at Sorbonne University and attended Columbia University’s school of Real Estate Development. AMANDA LOCKE
Amanda Locke joined AMG in 2013 as a land acquisition associate. Today, her responsibilities include obtaining entitlement approvals and providing support during construction financing and land acquisition closings, tax credit application submittals, and building permit submittals. While at AMG, Ms. Locke has become increasingly familiar with critical housing laws that spur affordable housing development such as Density Bonus Law, the Housing Accountability Act, and SB 35. She studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz for two years before transferring to Cal Poly Pomona, graduating with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a minor in Art History. CAMERON JOHNSON
Cameron Johnson joined AMG in 2002 after several years as a commercial real estate agent. Mr. Johnson currently oversees AMG’s ventures in secondary and tertiary markets throughout California in addition to managing and overseeing AMG’s Alaskan investments and developments. His responsibilities include site identification and acquisition, land-use entitlements, and project funding. Mr. Johnson has a thorough understanding of development law, environmental regulations, tax-credit financing, private financing, and negotiations. To date, he and his team have supervised the development of more than 5,000 affordable housing units while maintaining a development pipeline of 300 to 1,000 units at any given time. He received his degree from Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. GENE BROUSSARD
Gene Broussard joined AMG in 2005 to initially performing land acquisitions. Mr. Broussard oversees AMG’s urban housing development activities including acquisitions, due diligence, entitlements, development, and serves as owner representation during construction. Additionally, he monitors AMG’s steadily growing pipeline of new properties slated for entitlement and construction. Mr. Broussard has extensive experience in complex land-use entitlements, multi-family design, tax credit financing, environmental review, and land use. He leads a team of land development professionals to execute on AMG’s current urban projects. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. JACOB SOROUDI
Jacob Soroudi joined AMG in 2019 as a rural land acquisition associate after graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Soroudi quickly rose to the role of rural project manager, in which he actively pursues new projects while managing the current development pipeline. He works closely with property owners, escrow officers, lenders, and development partners, carrying a deal from its inception as a piece of vacant land across the finish line as a completed housing development. KIMBERLY CALICA
Kimberly Calica joined AMG in 2012 as a land acquisition associate after graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning. She now holds the role of project manager and is involved in all stages of project development, ensuring that the objectives of each project are accomplished within prescribed time frames and financing parameters. Additionally, Ms. Calica manages and oversees escrow of AMG’s urban development pipeline. Her duties involve site due diligence, the negotiation and preparation of purchase and sale agreements, and maintaining strong working relationships with escrow officers, brokers, lenders, and property owners. LISA LUDDERS
Lisa Ludders has been with AMG since 2002 and oversees the daily operations of the accounting department. Her duties include supervising the accounting and finance team, treasury management, and coordinating with lenders, partners, investors, and accountants regarding tax and accounting matters. She manages, organizes, and reconciles AMG’s expanding portfolio of projects and properties. Ms. Ludders attended Phoenix University earning a degree in Business Management. MATTHEW RAMOS
Matthew Ramos joined AMG in 2021 as a land acquisition associate. Today, his responsibilities include site due diligence and entitlement approvals. Prior to joining AMG, Mr. Ramos provided entitlement and building permit consulting services to a number of firms and brands in the hospitality, retail, industrial, and healthcare industries. He studied at Cal Poly Pomona and graduated with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
